This weekend the riders from Stal Forstén-Pentti will compete at their home town in Helsinki, Finland. It's the 25th anniversary of the famous "HIHS" as the finnish people call the most important equestrian event in Finland. The weekend's most important class is Sunday's FEI World Cup, second leg of the western european World Cup league season 2009/2010. Stal Forstén-Pentti is represented in Helsinki by three riders; Finland's most successful show jumping rider Mikael Forstén riding Isaac du Jonquet, EVLI Nandele and Vasco, his wife Noora Forstén who is also very experienced on the international level riding EVLI Cagliostro, EVLI Maike and Quinault and the stable's third rider Maiju Mallat who rides her first ever HIHS on the international level with St. Germain and Winnie PV. The horses travelled to Helsinki through Sweden and arrived early to the Hartwall Arena on Tuesday evening. This way the horses have enough time to rest after their long journey from home and get used to the colder climate in Helsinki. The first international classes are ridden on Friday and we will update you with the news from HIHS closer to the event.
