FEI ROLEX World CupMikael competes this weekend in Geneva, which is considered one of the leading indoor events in the world. The show is arranged again in the magnificent PalExpo arena, which is also nominated the host for the year 2010 FEI World Cup final. FEI World Cup: Mikael and Isac placed 13th and scored 4 WC-points. ReportIsaac du Jonquet jumped Thursday with Mikael in a 1m45 class. Mikael was pleased with the gelding, but decided to place a volt, due to his own mistake, to avoid a too long distance on the 3-4 line. Isaac did a really good round, showing again plenty of scope. With Skybreaker opened in a small 1m35-40 class on Thursday. Sky jumped well next to a relaxed mistake on the oxer number 3, which stood near Geneva’s famous natural water hazard. The oxer seemed to cause plenty of problems among even the most seasoned horses and there were many huge jumps on this fence. Sky was despite the error very good and relaxed on the remaining course. On Friday eve Mikael and Skybreaker took part in the big World Cup pre-qualifier named Credit Suisse Grand Prix. It was big technical 1m55 course with a jump-off from which it was possible to qualify to Sunday World Cup in case one did not have an allocated nation slot. The already 15 year old grand old man, Sky breaker, aka Opa, did a really nice round, but had an unfortunate mistake at the second fence, a very wide oxer. Mikael told he was probably to aver of the hind rail and gave too much leg for the jump, with an error at the front rail as a result. Mikael was still very pleased with the round, especially his horse. On Saturday Mikael took part in a 1m50 special class, “class of combinations”. As the name suggested, the course contained a double, triple and even a quadruple combination. Horse and rider had 3 rails down in this class. On Sunday Mikael jumps only the World Cup.
