German Masters Stuttgart German Masters is the display for the weekend’s highest level of equestrian sport. There are World Cup competitions in both jumping and driving, plus a 5-star dressage competition. Noora participates in the World Cup classes with Evli Cagliostro and Winnie PV. Report: a good show
ReportNoora’s Evli Cagliostro had been on a long break from May to October and this was only the third show since. According to Noora this is no major issue, as the stallion is really experienced competitor, but naturally the optimal form and fitness is a result of regular competing.
The World Cup round gave Noora and Cagli two rails down. The first mistake, which happened on vertical number 4 is rather typical for the stallion, as he easily runs a little against the hand and won’t keep his weight sufficiently on the hind legs. The second rail down was much more unfortunate, as Noora really tried to ride clear over the sizeable oxer, the b-part of a triple combination. It was only a light contact, but sufficient to drop the rail. Overall Noora was still pleased with the round, as Cagli jumped the sizeable course with ease and good spirit.
Regarding their future, Noora reminded about the stallions senior age and the plans are to only jump really important competitions, such as World Cups and 4-5 star GPs. At home Cagli is kept in good form with good and sufficient basic work.
In the terms of the numbers Winnie was Noora’s star in Stuttgart. Horse and rider performed a very nice double clear round on 1m50 level. This was only their third show together, with the horse Noora bought from Jan Tops less than two months back. It should also be noted that that the nice 9-year gelding is a complete rookie on international level, as he has only been showed on national level with previous owner. Noora didn’t try to win or place and was only doing a good clean round also in the jump-off, and was very pleased with the outcome!
