Fiera Cavalli CSIW Verona

Jumping Verona will host for the 8th consecutive year the Rolex FEI World Cup Jumping, the unique Italian stage of Jumping Indoor World Cup.  Verona, with its 260,000 inhabitants, has a wealth of Roman sights to visit, and the amphitheatre, known as the Arena, is top of the list. The show takes place in an elegant setting, with the very best riders of the world.

World Cup: Mikael and Isaac

World Cup

The Verona World Cup was a disappointment for Mikael. Isaac jumped really well in Verona. In the World Cup horse and rider had already cleared the hardest part of the course, when Isaac suddenly spooked when jumping towards a corner. The horse turned sharply to the right in the jump, taking a rail with the hind legs.  Mikael then upped pace and tried to chase a fast 4-faulter.  Jumping a double combination a little flat gave them then two knock-downs more. In retrospective, with only a few clear rounds, the 4 faulter would have been a good result – but such is sport at its best and worse – the margin between success and failure is thin.
