Olympia - The London International Horse ShowOlympia, the London International Horse Show, (17th - 22 December) is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the very first indoor international horse show ever to be held in the UK. The show features prize money for both Dressage and Jumping elements that totals almost 400.000 Euro. Mikko is present in England with three horses: Isaac du Jonquet, Tosca's Lena and Vanity. Saturday: Mechelen is the next opportunity. FridayIt had been an uncomplicated week in London. Despite a long and nickering schedule, both Mikael and horses were in good spirit on Friday. Mikael told he was pleased with the horses, but he had taken things easy to avoid wearing out the horses too early. After a week the work continues as the convoy moves to next big show, i.e. Mechelen World Cup. London venue is a tricky arena to master. It’s small and round, leading easily to making one small mishap to becoming several consecutive multiply mistakes. Mikael told it was exactly what happened on Monday; a difficulty approachable line, with one small error leading to three knockdowns, despite the horse doing a good job throughout the remaining course. On Thursay they had a good go in the London Grand Prix and next to an unlucky rail down, their efforts could as easily have meant a clear round and a place in the jump-off. Mikael feels at ease for Saturday’s main class; if goes well, there is nothing preventing them of making a decent result. SaturdayThere were two without the third, yet. - The London World Cup didn't become that third in row successful World Cup show for Mikael and Isaac. Unfortunately horse and rider scored three knockdowns on Saturday's course and they have to wait at least until next week for another try. The fame and glory of the London World Cup went to Ireland's lately ever so successful Jessica Kürten, congratulations!
