Jumping Indoor Maastricht 

Jumping Indoor Maastricht (JIM) is held in the MECC between November 22nd and 25th. The 20th edition of the international indoor competition offers dressage and jumping on the highest level. JIM presents the best jumping riders for exciting international classes, with its climax on Sunday during the Grand Prix competition.

Sunday: Mikael and Isaac in the Grand Prix. 

Both Noora and Mikko are participating, Noora is jumping with Evli Popcorn and Mikko with Tosca's Lena and Isaac du Jonquet. 

Friday / Saturday 

On Friday Noora and Mikko jumped all three horses. Evli Popcorn was very fresh and Noora jumped an intentionally unhurried round in 1m40 against the clock. Popi jumped superbly and Noora was very pleased with mare's present form. Also Mikko took the opportunity to use the class for training and jumped the only 7-year old Tosca's Lena. Noora told it was a joy to watch the two, and Lena jumped very well, using the whole body more and more by every jump. In the evening Mikko jumped Isaac in the first GP-qualifier and was pleased with horse. The only mistake they had Mikko was prepared to take on his own tab. The gelding made a somewhat special jump for a narrow gate, where after Mikko thought getting the horse back in balance, causing them to be too slow into a following combination. For the remaining parts Isaac did a good job.

On Saturday there was only Lena and Popi jumping. Lena showed again good class, when Mikko jumped the class in the morning. They had one rail down, but that was a really unnecessary mistake, and Mikko told he very pleased how ready the young mare already is jumping at this level.

In the second GP-qualifier, which took place on Saturday eve Noora jumped with Evli Popcorn. Noora told it was the mare's first big class in a over a year, and Popi did really well. Noora told she rode overconfidently to oxer number 3 and then for the double combination 11ab she should have collected the horse a bit more, having a rail at the a-part. Noora thought it was still a very good effort and the mare jumped all the tricky sections with great ease.

Sunday 

On Sunday Mikko jumped the Maastricht Grand Prix with Isaac du Jonquet. Unfortunately horse and rider had two rails down on the demanding course.

Mikko and Isaac had a knockdown in early stages at second fence and decided thereafter to ride for a fast four-faulter. It went well until the very last fence, where they had an unlucky second rail down. The Grand Prix win went to Netherlands's Leon Thijssen on Nairobi.
