Mikko raced a Formula Renault 2000 in 2006

Mikko's big passion and number one hobby besides horses is car racing. Mikko has earlier competed with saloon cars, e.g. a Porsche GT3R car in the GTP-series (season 2004) and a Ferrari 360 Modena in the Ferrari Challenge (season 2005). For season 2006 Mikko is taking the big step to a single seated Formula Renault 2000.

Formula Renault 2000

mikkoscar Introduced in 2000, the Formula Renault 2000 is the best-selling single-seater in the world, with more than 550 cars already constructed. Built to FIA F3 regulations, the FR 2000 offers maximum safety. Drivers enjoy the latest on-board technological refinements: digital dashboard and sequential box controls.

The Formula Renault 2000 competes in eleven national championships and the Eurocup. The Formula Renault 2000 was the step stone Finland's Kimi Räikkönen used to climb directly to Formula 1. Mikko is competing in the Italian championship series.
