Mikael's present career highlights in show jumping include being a 5-time Finnish Championship (young riders and seniors), over 650 international placings on his career, with alone over 100 during season 2005. Mikael has participated three times to the European Championships; year 1997 (with his stallion Invitation), 2004 (with the mare Charleen) and in 2006 (with Skybreaker). Mikael took part also to the World Championships in 2006 together with the Finnish team (again with gelding Skybreaker). Mikael has also jumped in numerous World Cup qualifiers; he won the WC qualifier in Amsterdam (2008 with Isaac du Jonquet) and has several top placings from the past years, also taking part to two world cup finals (2008 Gothenburg, 2009 Las vegas) with a top placing, 13th overall with Isaac du Jonquet in 2009. Mikael was a member of Finland's winning Nations Cup team in Hamina 2005 CSIO**** with Napoleon and won the CSIO Ypäjä GP in 2004 with Indira. Mikael has been the top-ranked rider in Finland for a number of years. In 2006 he was again a clear ranking leader, with his wife Noora Forstén being ranked Finland's second. In Amsterdam 2008 Mikko and Isaac won the western european World Cup league qualifier and made their way also to the world cup final in Gothenburg after a very succesful indoor season. This was the first time that a finnish rider was qualified to the World Cup finals and Mikael repeated the same during world cup season 2008/09 qualifying himself into Las Vegas world cup finals where he and Isaac du Jonquet ended up into a fantastic 13th place! Some earlier results are for example a CSI3* Grand Prix win in Wisbecq, Belgium with Quinault. 2009 Mikael and Isaac du Jonquet were second in Zurich world cup qualifier and fifth in both London world cup qualifier (2008) and Bordeaux (2009). During the 2006 Kuala Lumpur World Cup final Mikael placed fifth in the Grand Prix and won the opening class with his mare Melansa. Mikael's is also an active racing driver and spends some time behind the wheel. Mikael's hobbies include also golf and snowboarding. Nickname: Noora Noora Forstén (prev. Pentti) is 28 years old and born in Helsinki, Finland. Noora started to compete in year 1992, when she got her first own horse. Noora's early successes were a bronze medal in the young rider Finnish championships, young riders indoor championship victory and being the top-ranked Young Rider in Finland in year 2002. For the past years Noora has been highly ranked in the Finnish seniors, continuing her strong course towards the strongest Finnish showjumping riders. Noora is already a strong member of the Finland national show jumping team. Noora's recent career has brought top placings in Gera and Toledo Grand Prix's', and a number of placings in international shows up to Nations Cup and Grand Prix level. In Finland Noora have done excellent results, achieving Grand Prix third places in Helsinki, Hamina and Ypäjä shows! Noora was also a member of the victorious Finnish Nations Cup team in Hamina 2005 CSIO****. Noora has already participated on several world cup qualifiers, CSI5* Grand Prix's and Nations Cups. Noora has jumped the European Championships in Mannheim (2007) and the World Championships in Aachen (2006), both with her stallion Evli Cagliostro. On her spare time Noora is very interested about fashion and is a part owner in a fashion store "Rehab" located in her native Helsinki. She also likes to create and design handmade jewellery. Name: Mikael
Since 1987 Mikael has been a professional show jumping rider and trainer. Mikael has studied in the Helsinki Technical University before his active sports career. Mikael has also been an active sportsman on national junior championship level in football and alpine skiing. An accident and following injuries in 1987 changed however riding and showjumping into Mikael's main activity.
