Read all about our trip to Estonia 08.-10.10.2004. Sunday: next stop is Helsinki! Mikko and Noora starts incoming weekend with several horses in Tallinn, Estonia. We will cover daily the event, so look back soon for updates!
ThursdayHorses (Campari, Navarro, Quinault, Indira and Melansa) and people have safely arrived to Estonia. Earlier in the week it looked like Navarro would have caught a flue, but all seems well now, and all horses should in form to jump in the event, starting tomorrow.
Friday Tallinn was all sunshine despite the weather being cloudy. - A nice, well organized event, told Noora from Estonia. Mikko and Melansa opened with a victory in the 130cm welcome class. Noora and Navarro got a placing in the same class. - Campari did a good run, with only one unfortunate knock-down on first fence, told Noora. Navarro was also fresh and seemed to have recovered well from the rough travelling experience earlier in the week. - We took one down in the jump-off, but that pole was totally my fault in being a bit too close. We were still placed, but could have been much higher, reasoned Nora. In Fridays 140cm main class Mikko and Indira was on a placing, i.e. seventh without too much risk taking. Mikko started also with Quinault in the class, but that should have been considered only a brief introduction to each other. - Mikko and Quinault are still training, as this was their very first start together, told Noora. Saturday's plans looks now the following: Indira is resting to start in the GP on Sunday, Quinault and Navarro starts 140cm, Campari 135cm and Melansa at least the Masters. Tomorrow is an all new day! Links to complete results from Friday: 130 cm Art. 274.5.2 Competition in two phases 140 cm Art. 239, 263 Table C |

Coverage from Moorsele CSI** |

Three days and three placements in Moorseele. Noora participated this weekend in Moorsele CSI** with Curry H and Svaja. Complete results can be found at: Moorsele results page Pictures from the event are located here: Moorsele pictures FridayDue to a beautiful and warm weather, the indoor event of Moorsele became an outdoor event instead. Noora started well, taking directly a 6. place with Svaja (0/0), in their first class together in over a year. In the second start of the day, Noora did it almost again with Curry H, getting a fast time in the jump-off, but also unfortunately taking one down. But, that is sometimes the price one has to pay, when riding for a win. Tomorrow, Saturday we'll try it again!
SaturdaySaturday was the day of Curry H. Good clean jumps and a quick time was good enough for a second place in the class against the clock. All were pleased; horse, rider and trainer (Henk)! If the day was good for Curry H, it was also very bad for Svaja, who was excellent yesterday, but suffered from the periodic "female mood problems" today. Let's hope the menstruation symptoms will be less severe tomorrow, Sunday!
SundaySunday brought yet one more placement for Noora. Svaja had a good night's sleep and a new bit for today. A double clear round and a semi-fast riding was good enough for a seventh place! Riding only to win, means narrow turns and taking chances. Today Noora and Curry H almost made it - one harmful error left something to improve for next time. All-in-all, a very positive weekend! |

Flescher had to leave us. In memoriam - KWPN mare Flescher, Concorde - Damiro, 1992-2004. We regret to inform, that our beloved and successful mare Flescher had to be put to sleep yesterday. Flescher had done the most; successfully jumped on international 140-150cm level with both of us. In Tallinn World Cup 2003 Flescher was third with Mikko. A serious injury made this difficult decision clear and the only choice. Mikko & Noora |
