Matilda Kulkas arrived last week to Guttecoven for 2-month period of training and competing based at Stal Forsten - Pentti in Holland. Matilda is our young horse rider Ville Kulkas younger sister. Matilda is joined by her two horses, Gigi Amor and Jalinka. Matilda and Jalinka was as horse and rider the highest ranked junior in Finland year 2005.

This weekend the team heads to the familiar Moorsele's Zilveren Spoor equestrian center in Belgium for an international two-star show. The Grand Prix on Sunday features 20.000 Euros in price money, and is thereby eligible for World Ranking points.

All three riders from our stable, Mikko, Noora and Ville are participating. Mikko jumps with Noble Lady, Skybreaker and Quinault, Ville jumps with Regent and Napoleon and Noora unusually only with one horse, that is Evli Cagliostro.

Sunday: 3 riders, 4 placings!

This weekend Mikko and Noora are in Italy at the Mugello race circuit, where Mikko is debuting in the Formula Renault Italian championship series.

The tricky Mugello circuit is an all-new experience for Mikko and he had his very first laps on this track Friday morning, during the free practice session.

Sunday: An evenful race, Mikko finished 21st.

Lara II has been sold to Ms Heiti H??l from Estonia.

Lara is an 11-year old mare out of the German stallion Landfriese I (Landgraf I-Manstein). Lara was earlier successfully showed by Noora, placing internationally on the Sunshine Tour and on the Lummen Lente Tour. Lara's earlier results include international placings also with a young rider.

Tiit Kivisild, a 23-year old Estonian, is Lara's new rider. Tiit is one of his country's future hopes and is currently training with Rein Pill. Tiit is coming to Lummen next month, to receive some first-hand tips and guidance by Noora and Mikko in riding the new mare.

The spring is making strong progress and all signs suggest that moving the training outdoors will happen this week.

Curry got a baby! The foal is a hansom colt after For Pleasure, and not unlike its parents, is chestnut, with a blaze and three stockings.

The World Ranking event with a story. In year 1990 master baker Axel Milkau sat in the bar with his friend at this baking house Clemens in the Hotel Heyer. There Axel Milkau came up with the idea of organizing a large riding tournament to bring life to Brunswick. He managed also to convince the baking house about his splendid idea and talked them into a sponsorship. He had just gathered 50 D-mark as his first sponsor!

From that bar idea in 1990 developed a successful enterprise and an international World Ranking tournament, L?wen Classics that in its fifth anniversary has a budget exceeding 1 million Euros. CSI Braunschweig or L?wen Classics pays 220,000 Euro in price money and it features 180 international and national riders from 16 nations.

From 16th to 19th March Brunswick's Volkswagen Halle will once again host this equestrian event, which is a mixture of top class sportsmanship, performance and party.
