The gentle giant; superb heritage and characteristic!
Bio: Evli Cagliostro, born 1992, has proved his presence both as an excellent sire and a jumper of an almost unlimited scoop. Evli Cagliostro relates to one of Holsteins most recognized dame families 18bl. He is approved by Holstein, Oldenburg and in the Swedish Warmblood studbook. SWB approved him in the spring 1997 in the renewed performance test with top scores of that year. The two test riders thought his rideability was exceptional and scored it 9 and 10. Evli Cagliostro success hasn't been a coincident; he was hand-picked as a young-horse of exceptional pedigree and performance.
Evli Cagliostro's sire CALANDO I is one of the prominent jumping stallions today's Holstein breeding. Calando I was as Evli Cagliostro not only a great sire, but also an exceptional performer, making fabulous results with Kartsen Huck and Egar Henry Cuepper. Evli Cagliostro's dame Zilia is after the Ladykiller xx son Liostro, a jumper on highest level and sire to several stallions and high-level jumpers. The granddame Ella is behind the stallions Constant - an international jumper with H.G Winkler and M. Rüping, and sire to Olympia jumper Chin Chin and the stallion Toborszo, sire to the Grand Prix winner Poker. Ella is half-sister to Roman and Farn, the sire of the famous Nimmerdor. Evli Cagliostro was bought at young age to Sweden. In Sweden, ridden by Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and Niklas Arvidsson, Evli Cagliostro's emphasis was always on the sports career, but the limited number of offsprings shows the stallion's exceptional quality. Out of 365 stallions ranked with statistical relevance Evli Cagliostro tops place 7 as a sire for jumping horses. More than 50% of his offsprings was rewarded either a diploma or first class judged on 3-years tests and similar figures can be detected among his offsprings in number of competition licences and cleared 1m10 rounds as 5-year olds. Evli Cagliostro offsprings inherit his wonderful modern and sport horse type, they are noble, long-necked and with beautiful heads. They are dominantly tall-legged without becoming too big.
Evli Cagliostro was ridden in his early career by Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, who then was succeeded by Niklas Arvidsson, as Bengtsson himself moved abroad. With Niklas Arvidson Evli Cagliostro made it to the Swedish team trained by Henk Nooren, who described Cagliostro at those days with the words "A jumper for the major championships. He has it all; rideability, intelligence on the fences, carefulness and an enormous ability". Evli Cagliostro proved himself as the obvious choice for the Nations Cup and the major GP's and was also placed 7thh in the prestigious World Cup of Leipzig. In late 2005 Evli Cagliostro was enquired by a young Finnish female rider, Noora Pentti. A relative giant, Cagliostro and a petite and relatively inexperienced Noora Pentti are a couple everyone notice. Early in 2006 the pair jumped their first World Cup and in the summer Noora and Evli Cagliostro placed third in Ypäjä Grand Prix and the Nations Cup. They were also third in the Grand Prix of CSI Gera. The pair was also a member of the Finnish team at the WEG in Aachen 2006. Studfee 1500 Euro + VAT and transport costs.
